Why isn't your boba ready at some of your stores that open early during the weekdays?
Our tapioca boba is freshly brewed each morning and takes about 1.5-2 hours to prepare. We open at 9:30am at our Waco store during the weekdays in order to provide guests who do not want tapioca boba toppings an earlier option for their tea and coffee orders. Our boba is ready by 11am during the weekdays.
Why is your boba tea higher priced than other shops?
Our prices are comparable to other premium boba tea shops that focus on loose leaf options. Tax is included in our prices and reasons our boba tea is premium can be found in our quality ingredients and processes:
-Our teas are brewed with loose leaf tea - never powdered tea flavors
-We are continually researching and striving to source from small businesses that have teas made with organic, fair-trade, and/or direct-trade tea farm options
-We use real milk and offer non-dairy & vegan options without additional charges
-We seek to make organic syrups in-house made with real fruit
-When possible, we recycle and compost all relevant ingredients and containers when prepping to reduce waste and are moving toward a longer-term sustainability plan
-We are an Asian American and immigrant-owned small business; as a result we aim to offer authentic flavors and to provide cultural integrity for the products we serve
-We host profit shares with and provide sponsorships for non-profits and local organizations to give back to the community
-Team members receive higher than minimum wage starting wages
We are on a mission of bridging cultures and creating community through premium boba tea & handcrafted dumplings, so we are passionate about creating quality experiences for the boba tea industry just as many have an appreciation for quality in other industries. Our values lead to higher ingredient costs and we truly believe this is reflected in the quality experiences we provide to guests.
